Abstract:
This research project aims to investigate the impact of climate change on the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. The Indus Valley Civilization, one of the world’s oldest urban civilizations, flourished around 2600 to 1900 BCE in what is now modern-day Pakistan and northwest India. By examining archaeological evidence, environmental data, and historical records, this study seeks to understand how climate change influenced the rise, decline, and ultimate collapse of this ancient civilization. The findings of this research will contribute to our understanding of the complex relationship between climate change and human societies, and provide insights into the resilience and vulnerability of ancient civilizations in the face of environmental challenges.
